CISD
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, (CISD) is a crisis intervention model what has been found to be successful in alleviating the symptoms that employees may develop as the aftermath of exposure to traumatic events, such as mass disasters, workplace violence, bank robberies, etc. Often referred to as "debriefing" the term has become synonymous with any model of mental health intervention that is applied during a crisis.
Family and Children’s Services’ EAP has provided many hours of critical incident debriefings for both the public and private sector, in a variety of settings, including banks, schools, hospitals, etc. Our staff is trained and experienced in the different models of crisis intervention and are available to provide assistance on-site.
