Confidentiality
EAP services provided, including counseling, are kept strictly confidential, according to state and federal regulations and are HIPAA compliant. Employees may request and receive counseling voluntarily without the knowledge of anyone at their workplace. In some cases, such as a supervisor referral, information would be given to the employer only with the employee’s consent and a signed release of information This is generally done for a mandatory/supervisor referrals and only information regarding the employee’s compliance with appointments and treatment recommendations will be shared.
