to Tell if Someone You Know Has a Drug or Alcohol Problem
If the person you know has one or more of the following
signs, he or she may have a problem with alcohol or
drugs:
- Constantly talking about drinking alcohol or
using drugs.
- The person appears depressed or has unusual
temper outbursts.
- A pattern of change in their work
attendance, school grades, or the quality of their
work.
- Paranoia
- Pattern of change in attitude
- Becoming deceitful,
minimizing or denying alcohol or drug use.
- Legal
problems
- Trouble at school
- Secretive behavior, disappearing
without telling people where they are, frequent trips
to the
restroom.
- Becoming withdrawn
- Change in friends or activities.
- Money problems.
- Marital or relationship problems.
